I have just finished the 7th Harry Potter Book, and it was fantastic. So many puzzle pieces put into place, so many things resolved. It was very well done, and well worth the wait.
I shall speak no more of it, save to tell anyone who is starting or holding off... it's a good one, and you'll be richly rewarded.

Congratulations! Well done, that post. I am nearing page 400 of Half Blood Prince. I got so much from rereading Phoenix after seeing the movie that I knew visiting the 6th book was the next step.
I look forward to a long leisurely read of the last book. It's tempting to rush but Rowling reminded us that this is a journey - and it's worth taking slow.
Strangely, though it was done in a day, I kept taking check of myself, making sure I was reading and not rushing, not fighting the eyelids... I can honestly say I truly READ the book - it just wanted to be inside of my head good and quickly.
There are things that keep occurring to me, little touches that we can talk about in the future... and I confess that as I tried to relay a few plot points to Pamela (who is a potter non-reader), I stopped with lumps in my throat. It's that good.
